Over the years we’ve had many successful developments together. The one that sticks in my mind is Camino Real and U.S. 1 in Boca Raton. Like anything in Boca Raton this was very difficult due to the requirements of the town regarding the appearance of the store. Of course the resulting store is something that we and the town should be proud of.
A project that didn’t result in a store was in Vero Beach where the homeowners threatened to challenge the approval in court. In settlement they agreed to pay your projected profit to walk away and assign them your contract. You asked my opinion and I told you if they are prepared to put their money up, we don’t need to be there. My recollection is that you received a substantial sum of money which you shared with Publix as a demonstration of good faith.
